Our people serve the first responder. Our programs focus on issues that impact the front lines. I believe that the “business of the business” – how we conduct ourselves as an operation – is an extension of this same commitment.
I am dedicated to creating and maintaining a healthy business operation and believe it is critical to providing the foundation for all that we do to accomplish our mission. In our world, this requires a different way of seeing the "numbers". For me, they are not just an indicator of profitability or corporate gain; but rather they are a narrative exposing how well we are doing in the pursuit of our mission objectives.
The idea, for me, boils down to culture. I have strived to build an operations culture that supports the synthesis of individual performance within a team-structured environment. Our team philosophy embraces the idea that the best performance is obtained by supporting creativity and initiative - but measuring the value of actions against a common set of objectives. While operating “behind the scenes”, I still demand an equal measure of Integrity, personal accountability, and a passion for the company’s larger mission - of myself and of those who work with me.
If I have a special talent…it is recognizing and doing what is right, whether it is popular or not. This single-mindedness of purpose has served me well as a professional, as a husband, and as a father. I continue to rely on it to make G&H International the company that it is.
