International Disaster Conference 2015 Announces Call for Papers

The International Disaster Conference & Expo (IDCE) is currently accepting papers for its annual conference program, taking place February 10-12, 2015 at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Papers should address topics relevant to emergency management, homeland security, first response, loss mitigation, business continuity, restoration and remediation, and all disciplines falling within the disaster preparation, response, recovery, and mitigation cycle.

The purpose of IDCE is to unite public and private sector industry leadership in a forum of lessons learned, best practices, forward thinking, and policies and procedures which shape the industry on a global scale.  Topics presented for consideration should be in line with public-private synergies as it pertains to the industries supported by IDCE, and also focus on policy from a tactical, best-practices, and lessons-learned approach.

A successful submission will be innovative, interactive and will relate to the convention’s theme, “Emergency Management Technology for the Future,” and fit into one of the five educational tracks which include: Resiliency (Emergency Management, Response & Recovery, and Business Continuity); Technology & Innovation (Next Generation 911, Social Media, Interoperability); Public Health & Medical; Animals in Disasters; and Insurance.

Interested presenters should submit their presentation proposals via our Speaker Request to Present form, now available on the conference website: http://www.internationaldisasterconference.com.  There, those interested will also find a full list of requirements and additional conference program information.  The deadline for submitting presentations for review is September 15, 2014. Presentations for the IDCE 2015 program will be selected by the Executive Advisory Committee (EAC). Questions regarding the conference program should be directed to Kristen Chighizola, IDCE Conference Manager, at (504) 582-3072, or through email: kristen@idcexpo.net
